There are many exciting volunteering opportunties available in the
W. O. Frohring Family Resource Center and programs.

Bedside Reading Program

Volunteers come in for a few hours on a regular basis to read to our hospitalized children.
There is a bookcart that takes children's books, magazines, activity books, and adult paperbacks up
to the families at RB&C. Training and orientation are provided for this volunteering opportunity.

Family Resource Center Volunteer

There are opportunities within the Center to check videotapes in and out for families, shelve and
organize books, perform light office duties, assist families in researching resource information and using the
Internet. We match volunteers to the tasks that they enjoy doing. Training is available and well as orientation.
Volunteers can choose from a wide variety of times to work - days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Our families truly appreciate volunteer service that keeps our Center running and open for their convenience.

STARBRIGHT Program Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to assist our younger patients with the computers. This is a fun way to help
children and have fun with computer play. Volunteers are provided training and orientation as well as a wide
choice of hours they'd like to work.

Special Events and Programs

We sometimes need volunteers to provide supervision of children during planned events or programs.
All volunteers are provided with training and orientation to the hospital and its policies.
